Abstract

The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words. These days we are surrounded by images, so in this workshop, we’ll look at ways that we can exploit them in the classroom to engage learners and develop their creativity. We’ll try out some activities that encourage learners to bring their own experiences to lessons as well as have new experiences, and activities that get learners seeing and thinking about the world differently.

How can we use images to develop creativity in our students?
